The eSprinter is your advanced mobility solution if your vehicle mainly operates in urban traffic, making predictable trips. With an efficient electric drive system delivering 85 kW (116 hp), it is just as reliable, economical and versatile as you have come to expect from a Sprinter over almost 25 years. The eSprinter is available to order as a Standard length vehicle with high roof. The load compartment volume of 11 m³ is not limited in any way by the electric drive system. The payload is up to 1,045 kg with the standard battery capacity.
*Range has been determined on the basis of Directive 2017/1151/EU. The range is dependent on the vehicle configuration, and in particular on the selected maximum speed restriction.
The actual range is furthermore dependent upon the individual driving style, the road and traffic conditions, outside temperature, use of climate control/heating system, etc. and may differ.
If you are contemplating entering the world of electromobility, you will soon realise that it involves much more than just an electrically powered vehicle. That's why our specialists will engage in a dialogue with you to develop a concept for your electromobility that's tailored to your company – our eVan ecosystem. This includes, among other things, the creation of a suitable charging infrastructure, on-location servicing and connectivity services. Key brand promises from Mercedes-Benz Van, such as ergonomics, safety in the workplace, comfort and security, are naturally all strengths of the eSprinter.
You can optimise your eSprinter's range or payload to serve your needs. First, select the battery capacity that suits your needs: the standard usable battery capacity of 35 kWh allows a maximum payload of approx. 1045kg. For longer trips choose the optional usable battery capacity of 47 kWh. Thanks to a Combined Charging System (CCS) and an optional charging power of max. 80 kW, the eSprinter is just as flexible in terms of charging. And for special industry requirements, complete solutions are available as well as body and conversion solutions.
The highly efficient electric motor impresses with its good power delivery and pleasantly smooth running. In comparison with a combustion engine, the electric motor has a significantly higher efficiency, it runs almost silently and the maximum torque is available right from the first motor rotation.
If the electricity for the electric vehicle is gained from alternative energies, the drive does not release any emissions. This makes the electric motor, in urban areas with currently high levels of pollution and ever stricter emissions regulations, an economically and ecologically sustainable drive type. Add to this that the electric motor, in comparison with the combustion engine, has lower wear and maintenance.
25 years of experience are invested in every Sprinter, and the eSprinter builds upon this basis. And in the modules of the electric drive system you will also benefit from the integrity of the components used. The module components for the eSprinter have their origins in passenger car development and have already been incorporated in alternative-drive vehicles for some years. On delivery you will receive a well-proven vehicle featuring Mercedes-Benz quality, whose electric drive and heating have passed our comprehensive winter test at temperatures down to -30°C.
Can be charged to 80 % in 20 minutes1.
Thanks to the Combined Charging System (CCS) the eSprinter is not fussy when it comes to charging stations and wall boxes: it charges with max. 7.4 kW and alternating current (AC) just as readily as with max. 20 kW and direct current (DC). With the optionally available max. 80 kW DC charging power, the standard high-voltage battery (35 kWh) can be charged from 10 to 80% in only 20 minutes1 at a DC rapid charging station. To start charging, the CCS plug of the charging cable is simply inserted into the CCS socket (Combo 2) in the radiator grille. Should there be no wall box or charging station available the battery can also be charged via the domestic grid.
Well-protected high-voltage on-board electrical system.
The electrically powered vans from Mercedes-Benz are put through comparable vehicle testing procedure and crash tests as a vehicle equipped with a combustion engine. Therefore, they are of the exemplary Mercedes-Benz standard in terms of safety. The drivetrain, the high-voltage battery and the high-voltage lines are protected, embedded in frames. A protective plate additionally shields the battery system from below against damage. All high voltage lines are carefully insulated. If the crash sensors detect a serious accident, the vehicle is automatically made voltage-free immediately.
A charging cable is not included with your electrically powered van from Mercedes-Benz. As an option, there are 4 charging cables with a type 2 charging connector which are available for order. You can choose between 4 m, 5 m and 8 m lengths as well as between single-phase and 2-phase charging. Should you have any further questions on the topic of charging cables, your Mercedes-Benz Partner will be happy to help you.
